Benefits

Getting  The Best Start

Children who receive frequent dental examinations from an early age are less likely to suffer dental anxiety, enabling a healthy dental future. We recommend that your child see the dentist on a regular basis beginning at birth. Taking your child to the dentist with you for a normal appointment is a simple method for them to become acquainted with the idea of dental appointments.

KNOWHOW

What To Expect At Your Child’s Dental Visit

Every appointment is centred on a kind and caring approach to your child and their health.

To start, we will gently examine your child’s teeth, soft tissues, and overall oral health for signs of injury or early decay that we may need to monitor or treat in the future. We will also look at how your child bites their teeth together, especially if their permanent teeth are present.

After we have finished the check-up, our attention will be on thier future oral health. We will give you and your child toothbrushing guidance as well as nutrition recommendations on eating frequency and sugar consumption to help you develop lifelong healthy habits.

No dentist appointment is complete without a gift for being the best patient of the day!

FAQs

A few things we thought you’d like to know…

Can I bring my child to the dentist with me?
We highly recommend bringing your child with you for your regular check-ups to show them the ropes. If you are having treatment we recommend sourcing alternative childcare as this may be upsetting for your child and therefore upsetting for you.
How should I prepare my child for dental treatment?

The best tip is not to “make a big deal” of it. Our team are highly experienced in explaining treatment to your precious ones in a way that they understand and that creates trust. Your child will know exactly what to expect and we make the whole experience as fun as it can be.

When should I bring my child for their first visit?
You can bring them as soon as they’re born so that they become familiar with the sights and sitting on the chair with you.
When should my child brush their teeth for themselves?

Rather surprisingly for some, we recommend you brushing their teeth until the age of around 7-9 or when they have developed good enough fine motor skills to do it themselves. From then, you should always closely inspect their teeth to ensure they haven’t missed any areas both morning and night.
