Your new patient journey
We are really looking forward to being back up and running and seeing patients. It’s been a very busy few weeks getting ready to welcome you all back safely. We have been seeing emergencies for the last couple of weeks and this week we are doing some more training and organising our appointment book. PLEASE DON’T CALL US to rearrange your cancelled appointment. WE WILL BE IN TOUCH, WE PROMISE!!! In order to keep face to face contact to a minimum, we will no longer have a reception desk. All appointments will be made by phone/letter/text or email. We have set up a patient portal on our website. Just go to www.thedental-lounge.com on the top right is a box saying ‘patient portal’. Click on here and you will be able to put your name and date of birth in. You will receive a text with a verification code...if we have your correct phone number!! On this portal you can update your medical history and fill in a COVID risk assessment, which must be done NO SOONER than 48 hours before your appointment. You can update both of these at any time if medication changes. From this portal you will be able to access your estimates, details and treatment plans. So please take this time to update any phone numbers!
The bathroom will no longer be available to patients and we will not be using the waiting room for the time being, so please come alone to the practice unless you need assistance, in which case the waiting room is available but only by prior arrangement . If you are coming with children who are also having an appointment, they will have to sit in the surgery with you. Unfortunately for the time being, we cannot have children in the waiting room.
