Cosmetic Dentures at The Dental Lounge
Unlike most, our Principal Dentist, Paul Middleton, discovered his passion for dentistry whilst becoming a Dental Technician. This puts Paul in a niche expert position, having studied dentistry from both sides of the fence, so to speak. Both from the technical, construction process and the clinical environment treating patients.
What does this mean for you?
Because we understand the full potential of removable prosthetics , it allows us to design genuinely comfortable restorations and dentures that look remarkable. Paul regularly attends masterclass clinics both to teach and learn the most innovative techniques to create the best prostheses possible for you.
Unique
No two smiles are alike and prosthetic teeth should be no different. Your opinion and guidance are part of your bespoke denture design

Discovering Your Smile Goals
Many people come to us because they want their new dentures to look attractive and function well.
We must understand your individual desired outcome. Sometimes our patients want their dentures to look exactly like their natural teeth before removal. Other times, patients will want us to intentionally create gaps in their teeth to make them appear more natural.
We take pleasure in making the most beautiful, natural-looking dentures at The Dental Lounge, so we make sure to discuss & discover everything right away.
Benefits
Advanced Suction Techniques
We know that with dentures – especially lower dentures – a lack of suction can be a nightmare scenario.
Dr Paul Middleton has a special interest in denture prosthesis and offers exclusive dentures using a revolutionary Japanese Suction Technique.
Most lower dentures simply sit upon the lower jaw, relying on tongue and mouth control to hold them in place. However, with this new technique, we can achieve true suction, helping to hold dentures securely.

FAQs
A few things we thought you’d like to know…
Is prosthodontics the same as dentures?
When should I think about getting new dentures?
As always, dental treatment is entirely at your discretion. We’ve listed some signs that you might need new dentures:
- When dentures feel loose and uncontrollable
- When the base of the denture or the teeth get discoloured
- When the surfaces of the teeth become flat
- When your partial dentures do not fit appropriately over your natural teeth
- When you start to have deep lines around your lips
- When your chin protrudes, and the corners of your lips are perpetually damp and painful.
- When you stop smiling because you are self-conscious about your appearance
What is a prosthesis?
The term dental prosthesis refers to an appliance that replaces a missing tooth or conceals a defect in the teeth or mouth.
Permanent prosthesis include restorations such as veneers, crowns and bridges. Removable appliances include dentures and obturators for cleft palettes.
